Cote D'Azur Rue Aucassen France 30/100 2

Rue Aucassen is in Haute Cagnes sur Mer, a small coastal town on the Cote d'Azur in Southern France.  It's the old village on a bluff above the new city which lies right on the coast.  It's quieter than it's more popular neighbor Sainte Paul de Vence.  This is a friendly place that attracted romantics, impressionists and modernists of the 19th and early 20th centuries, (Matisse, Renoir, Simone de Beauvoir et al).  Not over run with tourists when we were there, it still had an old world charm ... someone practicing the piano could be heard from a second story window as we explored the narrow cobbled alleyways ... really nice!
